Trying to run faster

If there has been one ill affect of doing 100 miles two weeks ago its trying to run faster again. The treadmill has always been my friend when it comes to adding a bit of speed. Jumped on today and cranked it to a blistering 5:30 pace and had a really tough time for the first couple of Ks. Managed to hang in there and as I went along it did get a bit easier. I am going to try to get on the treamill every night this week workign my way up to 4:30 pace by the end of the week. Managed to do a full 4.5k at 11kmh then a 0.5K cool down.
